Fly748 has committed KSh3 million to support the second edition of the Run 4 Seniors charity event, giving a major financial boost to a campaign aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable elderly Kenyans.
The airline announced the sponsorship on Monday, confirming that it will serve as the Diamond Sponsor for the fundraising event set for July 18, 2026, at Karura Forest in Nairobi.
Organised by Mama Ibado Charity, the annual run brings together corporate organisations, athletes, running clubs and members of the public to raise funds for senior citizens living in underserved communities in Kakamega and Isiolo counties.
Fly748 said the partnership reflects its commitment to supporting programmes that promote dignity, healthcare and social inclusion for older persons.
Fly748 Head of Scheduled Services George Oduor said the airline believes senior citizens deserve better care and support after their contribution to the country’s development.

“Our senior citizens have played an important role in shaping our society and deserve to age with dignity, care and support. We are honoured to partner with Mama Ibado Charity in this noble cause and invite Kenyans from all walks of life to join Run 4 Seniors and make every step count,” Oduor said.
Mama Ibado Charity Director Ambassador Dr Amina Mohamed welcomed the sponsorship, saying it would help expand programmes that provide food, healthcare services and community support to elderly people facing poverty and neglect.
She said the partnership demonstrates growing recognition from the private sector that older persons require sustained support and protection.
Money raised during the charity run will fund Mama Ibado Charity’s Seniors Feeding and Healthcare Programmes, which offer monthly food assistance, medication support and access to essential healthcare services for vulnerable senior citizens.

As part of the agreement, Fly748 will also use its communication platforms to mobilise more participants and raise awareness about the challenges affecting Kenya’s ageing population. The airline has also announced a 10 per cent discount on flight tickets for people who register to participate in the charity run.
The airline joins other corporate sponsors, including KCB and Sidian Bank, in supporting this year’s event as preparations gather pace ahead of the July 18 fundraiser.
Mama Ibado Charity is a registered charitable organisation that works with vulnerable senior citizens through feeding, healthcare, housing and community support programmes across Kenya, while Fly748 operates scheduled domestic passenger flights to Mombasa and Ukunda.
