However, the woman who works as a cashier blocked him, but he resorted to calling using different numbers, irritating the complainant. After pursuing her without success, Mecha, in the company of a churchmate, visited her house and asked her to be his lover. The youthful woman rejected his pleas citing his age. The disappointed middle-aged defendant then intimidated her. “On August 3, 2021, at an unknown place within the republic of Kenya you uttered the words ‘nitakutoa kichwa au mototo wako apotee‘ (I will remove your head or ensure your child gets lost ) to the complainant, words that have been interpreted as death threats,” the charge sheet read, as reported by K24 TV.
Mecha denied the charges and was released on a cash bail of KSh 15,000 by Senior resident magistrate Charles Mwaniki. The case will be mentioned on September 6.
