ormer Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) CEO Ezra Chiloba has landed a top government job.
In a statement on Tuesday, September 28, the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) announced that Chiloba would head the authority as Director-General.
The 42-year-old will serve for a term of four years and replaces Francis Wangusi who occupied the position from 2012 to 2020.
The recruitment of the new DG was delayed after the authority re-advertised the positions on two occasions in 2020.
According to the Board of the Communications Authority stated that Chiloba was appointed after a competitive recruitment process to fill the position left vacant with the retirement of Wangusi.
“The Board wishes to thank Mercy Wanjau, MBS who has been acting in the position of Director-General of the Authority,” the statement read.
In the statement, the CAK board announced that Chiloba will begin his duties at the authority start immediately.
