A Cabinet reshuffle was part of the agenda when the President met ODM leader Raila Odinga and One Kenya Alliance (OKA) members in Mombasa on Tuesday.
According to sources in Mombasa, Uhuru promised to include key opposition figures in an imminent Cabinet reshuffle.
Uhuru is said to be disgruntled with Ruto allies in Cabinet whom he has accused of failing to help him safeguard his legacy.
The President, who has been in the coastal city for almost a month now, also raised concern over Ruto’s dalliance with foreign investors.
“The President was very mad with the DP following his discussion with the so-called foreign investor with questionable credentials and will not continue serving with people exhibiting divided loyalty,’ a source intimated to Nation.
Consequently, the opposition leaders were asked to submit names of possible nominees.
Uhuru last reshuffled the cabinet in January last year. Former Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri was the biggest casualty at the time.
